Rashan Ali

Rashan Ali founded Sporty Girls in 2006 in an effort to expose minority girls to sports like swimming, soccer, tennis and golf. She attended Florida A&M University on both swimming and academic scholarships. Rashan received her BS in Broadcast Journalism in 1997. A multi-media personality and author, Rashan is currently one of the co-hosts on Sister Circle TV, which airs nationally on TV One. She is also the host of The Cool Soror Podcast and is the author of Piper Sky’s Pink Popsicle Shoes, her first children’s book. Rashan is a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The National Association of Black Journalists. She is married to Brian and they have two daughters, Bailey and Carter.

Haroldeen Swearingen

Haroldeen Swearingen recently joined the Sporty Girls Board in January 2018 and is currently serving as the Chief of Staff. Haroldeen is an experienced Educator and Real Estate Sales Professional with a history of success in curriculum, leadership, higher education and sales. As an Assistant Principal with Cobb County Schools and an Adjunct Professor with Mercer University, she is passionate about education being a catalyst for advancement. Haroldeen received her educational specialist degree in educational administration & supervision from Lincoln Memorial University, her M.Ed. and B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University and Morris Brown College. She began supporting non-profits as the President of The Parent Executive Board for The First Tee of Atlanta. A proud native of Atlanta she enjoys, reading, cooking and taking in the arts. Haroldeen lives between Atlanta, GA and Chicago, IL with her husband, Tommy, Jr. and their son, Tommy, III.

Pricilla Morton

Pricilla Morton recently joined the Sporty Girls Board in January 2018 and is currently serving as the Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair. Pricilla holds an Associate Degree in Healthcare Information Technology from DeVry University, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management at DeVry University. She is currently a Hospice Technician at Southwest Christian Care and the Owner/Founder of Numerical Billing and Coding Co. She has had extensive experiences in volunteerism and service in different medical facilities in Metro Atlanta. She resides in Fairburn with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Courtney Jones

Courtney “CJ” Jones has served on the Sporty Girls Board since September 2017 and is currently serving as a Fund Development Committee Member. CJ holds a BA and MBA from Florida A&M University. Currently VP of University Relations for Nielsen, CJ is passionate about working with young people to develop the skills needed to build a career. Her volunteer activities include Citizen Schools, Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the American Red Cross. She currently resides in Mableton with her beautiful baby boy, JP.

Vanessa Windham

Vanessa Windham has served on the Sporty Girls Board since January 2018 and is currently serving as a Programming Committee Member. An Atlanta native, Vanessa is a Clinical Research Consultant and Small Business Owner. She is a graduate of Denison University and remains actively involved with her alma mater through the Denison Alumni Recruiting Team (DART) and as a previous member of the Alumni Council and the past Denison Alumi Club Atlanta Co-Chair. Vanessa is an active community and civic leader, serving on boards and committees for Live Healthy Dekalb Coalition; Hands on Atlanta; Atlanta Community Food Bank; TeaCup Girls; Junior League of Atlanta; and Junior League of Dekalb. Vanessa has completed the United Way of Greater Atlanta Volunteer Involvement Program and the Atlanta Women’s Foundation Women on Board training. She currently resides in Decatur.

Christi Goodwin

Christi Goodwin has volunteered with Sporty Girls since 2014 and recently joined the Board in September of 2017. She is currently serving as the Marketing Committee Chair. Christi holds a M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Troy University. She has over 20 years of combined experience in organizational leadership, operational processes improvement and project management. Christi feels her purpose in life is to serve, motivate, and inspire the youth, women and men in the communities. She strives to change the trajectory of lives in a positive way and encourages individuals to tap into their unlimited abilities. Volunteering is her way of life as she is a currently member of Junior League of Atlanta and has served with organizations such as American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, and Piedmont Hospital.

Stacey Fulgham

Stacey Fulgham has served on the Sporty Girls Board since January 2018 and is currently serving as a Marketing Committee Member. Stacey is the Manager of Business Leadership at Momentum Worldwide on the Coca-Cola account. She is responsible for working on both experiential and shopper marketing programs on the business across multiple brands and properties and has also worked with clients such as The U.S. Army, UPS, Verizon and Buffalo Wild Wings. Her previous experience leading multicultural programs across brands brings a level of expertise and enthusiasm to her current board member-marketing role for Sporty Girls. Stacey holds a B.S. in Management and an MBA in Marketing from Florida A&M University. She has held several positions in community and civic-based organizations including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., National Black MBA Association, FAMU National Alumni Association and the Central State University Marketing Advisory Board.

Kahfi Sims

Kahfi Sims has served on the Sporty Girls Board since September 2017 and is currently serving as a Volunteer Committee Member. Kahfi is a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management. After being a Community Service Director for the Black Student Union on campus and managing the Young Women Leaders mentoring organization for 2 years, she quickly transformed her personal passion for serving others into a career goal. Her growing interest and experience in the nonprofit realm granted her a summer-long internship with Feeding Children Everywhere, a world renowned childhood hunger organization. During this Internship, she was involved in organizing events that helped feed over 3 million children worldwide. Her recent trip to Cusco, Peru with Beauty Has A Direction reignited her passion & love for nonprofit work; and more specifically the empowerment of young girls and women.
